I originally skated on powdered walnut shell and Elmer's glue wheels back in the early 1960's. I renewed my love of skating and brought our 8year old son Max to the Maryhill festival of Speed in 2008 to show him what downhill was all about. Jeff Budro gave Max his racing skateboard and we were hooked. The next year we were both competing, Max as a grom and me as a luger. I've never looked back. The people are phenomenal and have accepted me, my wife Dawn and Max as a part of their "family". We love this culture and love you all
