Episode 10 – STREET LUGE (round of 24)
Episode 10 – STREET LUGE (round of 24)
Though much like the winter Olympic sport, our version of LUGE features 6-person race heats competing shoulder-to-shoulder, drafting, and bumping down the 1.8 mile racetrack at Maryhill Loops Road!
The fastest of all #WindwalkWednesday's featured racing classes, STREET LUGE is ridden in the supine position, feet forward. Wielding the preference/performance option of 4-8 wheels (2-4 axles), street luges have one of the highest contact patch to weight ratios of land racing vehicles. They boast the fastest track times and highest speeds at #Windwalk, but with racers like Mikel Echegaray Diez pushing competition to race less stable, more agile and grippy set ups in order to shave seconds, the competition gets gnarlier.
Hold onto your rails! It's the first round of downhill STREET LUGE RACING!
